“Can I really grow food on my balcony?” You’ve probably typed something like that into a search bar, half-hopeful, half-sure the answer is no. Well, stop second-guessing. Container gardening works — if you stop believing the myths that hold you back. Let’s bust five of them, bluntly.
Myth 1: “I can just use garden soil in my pots.”
No. Just no. Garden soil in a container is a recipe for root rot and stunted plants. Here’s the deal: field soil and potting media are different beasts.
